Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Leominster, Worcester, Hereford, Leintwardine, Kingsland, Tenbury Wells, Ewyas Harold, Peterchurch and Eardisley have all been in attendance overnight at a house fire in Buckfield Road, Leominster.
Crews were called at 18:06 on 8 July to a fire which involved a garage and spread to four semi-detached houses, which were well alight.
The incident was sectorised into two sectors with eight firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.
The fire was fought using three main jets and three hosereel jets as well as a safety jet. An aerial ladder platform and the Service drone from Ledbury Fire Station were also deployed.
There were no casualties and West Mercia Police were also in attendance.
“Crews found a rapidly developing fire on their arrival and worked hard from the outset,” said Group Commander Dave Swallow.
“Although two properties were significantly damaged by fire the two adjoining properties have been saved by the hard work of fire crews to stop the fire spreading.”
Crews are continuing to damp down and monitor the incident with one relief crew currently in place.
