Kitten named after crew member who helped rescue him

Vincent the kitten rescued by Worcester Fire Station crew in Norton

This cute kitten got himself into a spot of bother when he became trapped in the metalwork of a lamp stand.

A Worcester Fire Station crew was called out to a property in Norton at 5.36pm last Thursday.

The inquisitive kitten was released with no injuries using small tools.

And now he has been named Vincent after one of the Worcester crew who helped him out of his predicament.

His owner Shani Stocker said: “Can I just say a massive thank you to the team who came out to rescue our kitten’s very stuck head in the base of my lamp.

“We have called the kitten Vincent after one of the amazing crew.

“I’m pleased to say the kitten is doing well now and we are very appreciative to the team for their act of kindness.

“They provided a fabulous, prompt, compassionate service – and saved my kitten.”
