Excitement is building for the first Bromsgrove Fire and Police open day for four years on Saturday 24 June.
There promises to be plenty to entertain all ages at the Slideslow Drive station from 11am until 3pm.
Popular fire engine rides will be joined by chip pan fire and road traffic collision demonstrations alongside West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service activities.
There is also a chance to see what the Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s Urban Search and Rescue teams and USAR dog Radar do alongside advice from the fire prevention team, children’s rides and refreshments.
Bromsgrove Fire Station Watch Commander Lee Rudge said: “We all love the event. It’s a really good chance to engage with our community and it’s nice to see the kids enjoy it while also being educated.
“A lot of people think we just attend fires and car crashes so it’s good to show the public what we can do.
“It’s normally very busy with more than 500 people attending most years.”
Last year’s open day in September was cancelled after the death of Queen Elizabeth II with the Covid pandemic curtailing event plans before that.
Entry is free as is parking at the Artrix nearby from 8.30am until 5pm.
