Join us online at our upcoming Crew and Watch Commander Awareness Session!
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service will be recruiting to the roles of Crew Commander and Watch Commander (A & B) in early 2025. This process will be open to both internal and external applicants, ensuring we identify the very best leaders and managers of tomorrow.
There will be an awareness session held online on MS Teams on 12th December at 19:00. If you would like to attend the December awareness session please email recruitment@hwfire.org.uk to request joining instructions.
Role Promotion Process
- Competent FireFighter – can apply to join as a Crew Commander
- Competent Crew Commander – can apply to join as a Watch Commander
- Crew Commander – can apply to come across as a Crew Commander
- Watch Commander – can apply to come across as a Watch Commander
Whilst the exact details of this process are yet to be confirmed, the Service would like to give advance notice to those who may be interested.
It is expected the application process will go live week commencing 6th January 2025 and the application form window will be open for three weeks. The subsequent selection elements of this process will take place throughout February and March 2025.
