Fire overnight in former Kidderminster Fire Station

Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Wyre Forest and Bromsgrove Fire Stations – were called at 18:16 on 3 April to a fire in the appliance bay of the former Kidderminster Fire Station in Castle Road, Kidderminster.

The fire was extinguished using a hosereel jet and four firefighters in breathing apparatus carried out a full search of the building without finding any further fires or casualties. Positive pressure ventilation was used to clear smoke from the building.

The premises were boarded up and the alarm silenced and re-set. West Mercia Police were also in attendance. Crews left the scene at 20:49.
