Planning permission has recently been granted to enable the Service to build a new station in the same location and this building will provide the crews and members of the public with a modern fit for purpose fire station for years to come."

Hereford Fire Station is located in the heart of the City and crews respond to incidents in and around the city of Hereford. The City itself has an eclectic mixture of industrial and agricultural risks.
The station has three duty systems in operation which are: Wholetime Shift working a 2 days, 2 nights, and 4 rota days system, who provide cover 24/7; Wholetime Day Duty, who provide cover from 07:00-19:00 every day; and the On-Call duty system, whose firefighters crew one appliance during the night time period between 19:00hrs and 07:00hrs.
The station has a Scania fire engine and is also equipped with a Scania ultra heavy rescue appliance, and an aerial ladder platform for rescues from height. The station also has a swift water rescue team that respond in a water rescue vehicle with a rescue boat and a rescue sled.
On-call drill nights are held at the Fire Station every Thursday commencing at 6:30pm.
