Request
Dear
I have been asked by the contaminated land officer at Wyre Forest District Council to provide an assessment of contaminated land risks (soils and groundwater) associated with historical use of fire-fighting foam in relation to a current planning application for commercial development. A large fire occurred at a site named MCD House, Frederick Road, Hoo Farm, Kidderminster, DY11 7RA around 6th December 2021.
Although it may not be possible to determine what was used at the fire, would it be possible to provide the general category (or any data sheets) for the foam (e.g. Class A / Class B either synthetic or protein foam) used by the fire service for structural fires during this time?
Many thanks for any help you may be able to provide.
Kind regards
