Good afternoon team, I hope you are well,

I’d like to request the following information in relation to Bridgewater house, Blackpole, Worcester. WR4 9FH.

•any information you hold regarding the building cladding.

•do the fire service consider the building to be an exceptional risk/more risky than another building of its size?

•do the fire service have any special plans/approach in place to cover the building from a fire safety perspective?

•do the fire service consider the building fire safety compliant?

I’m trying to ascertain how the fire service view the building from a fire service perspective.

Thank you for your request for information which has been received by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (the Service) and considered under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000.

The Service can confirm the following responses to your questions:

•any information you hold regarding the building cladding.

The main type of cladding is Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) with Polyurethane rigid foam (PUR)/ Polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam.

•do the fire service consider the building to be an exceptional risk/more risky than another building of its size?

Bridgewater House is on HWFRS’s Intelligence Led Inspection Programme to be inspected on an annual basis and this is in line with all other High Rise Residential Buildings within Herefordshire & Worcestershire.

•do the fire service have any special plans/approach in place to cover the building from a fire safety perspective?

HWFRS have produced a Tactical Information Plan for Bridgewater House as in line with all other High Rise Residential Buildings within Herefordshire & Worcestershire. The pre-determined attendance for a confirmed fire at these premises is 8 Fire Appliances, 1 Aerial Ladder Platform and 1 Incident Command Unit.

•do the fire service consider the building fire safety compliant?

Bridgewater House currently have an Enforcement Noticed issued upon it and this can be found on the public register.
