I don’t see any information on the type of devices in your estate or the volume . Is this something that you can share ?
TMT First are registered on the Blue light EU tendering portal , however , I have never seen a tender for the repair and secure asset disposal of mobile devices to save money and drive sustainability . It would be great to work on a cost saving process with Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue service

Thank you for your request for information which has been received by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (the Service).
The Service can confirm that the information that you have requested is held and is detailed below:
Devices in estate: Samsung Galaxy A40, Samsung Galaxy S20, Apple iPhones
Volume: Total of 286 – in use or in stock
Repairs: We don’t tend to repair mobiles as we triage them ourselves and mend where possible. We only dispose of equipment that is beyond economic repair.
Secure asset disposal: We use a local company to securely wipe and dispose of mobile devices. To be more ecologically friendly, we only arrange to take items for disposal once we have enough to make it worthwhile and when we are already due to be in the area for other reasons.
Tenders: The most spent on securely disposing of mobile devices was £1,220 when we did a complete phone refresh and disposed of all old/broken devices. We only tend to send items for disposal through this route once a year at an approximate cost of £350 for both mobile devices and hard drives. Due to the small amount of money we spend each time, there is no requirement to go to tender.
