How many staff does your organisation employ, with a split of operational (front line) versus non-operational?


Between 1st July 2019 and 30th June 2024, how many staff have died by suicide?


What percentage were on shift at the time or within the 12 hours prior?


What is the breakdown for operational versus non-operational staff?


Between 1st July 2019 and 30th June 2024, how many staff who have left your service (and not moved to another front line service) have died by suicide?


Between 1st July 2019 and 30th June 2024, how many grievances have been submitted?


What percentage were associated with workplace bullying?

We thank you for your request for information, which has been received by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (the Service) and considered under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000.

The Service can confirm that the information that you have requested is partially held and is detailed below:

Between 1st July 2019 and 30th June 2024, how many grievances have been submitted?

From 1 April 2019 – 30 June 2024, we had 30 grievances. 

What percentage were associated with workplace bullying?

13% of the above grievances were alleged to be linked to workplace bullying.
